he had opened a pop-up-shop for lomography at the »
tastyshop , and as i offered to ask around for tickl, i went there as well. we shall see how it will work out. he likes the idea, but we don't know which agreements are there between lomography and unverkäuflich. at least, he wanted to ask before.
but we both think the market is too small to divide it. for sure the baltic one. it's better to count on synergy. who loves lomo, might like polaroid. who loves polaroid, might like lomo.
he was mighty impressed by my land and the result. and i have to admit (though i have a lubitel since the pre-perestroika times, personally smuggled from prague, but except some 6x6 i took, never really got into all this later lomostuff), i'm more and more interested in the diana. with an instant-back, of course ;-)
what started to be a short visit turned out to get some hours talking.
and we both had to realize we both held workshops for worldwide pinhole photography day in riga. he with the lomos, me with polaroids. next time we will combine that.
that for sure.
it was nice to meet someone who's efforts are driven by the love for the analogue.
