This month’s theme is "Epic Neutrality" chosen by Thomas Zamolo.
The interest was to find a theme that would both encourage and challenge obvious ways of imaginative thinking; a paradoxical theme such as Epic Neutrality is difficult but interesting to tackle. The choice to use Svensk Tiger (Swedish Tiger) as a template was triggered by the desire to both define and re-define a known symbol. To find the epic or grand contradictions inherent in famous political symbols. The question being; What new space for thought and emotions could appear in dealing with a symbol that has both animal mystery and political history in it? Mystery and history together speaks volumes for the epicness underneath the surface of this 'seemingly' neutral symbol. Or rather, a symbol meant to force neutrality upon the people in a great effort to cover up the difficulties of living side by side in an interconnected world.
