The dangers of the medium
When using a powerful medium, the first danger is that it overtakes you. And instant film is beautiful per se. Even without a camera, even with no image, even when you do nothing at all, like here.

The result can be (and is mostly) captivating: an object smashed together from an instant, compacted from time, space, emotion and light into an 8.8x10.7 cm square in your hands.

You can take a picture of a garden chair with expired SX-70 film, and it will be MAGICAL, it will be a beauty. Just like that. But still, it's a fucking garden chair.

A powerful medium should be taken as a challenge for you to raise to its level as a photographer. And have something to say. There must be a message matching the power of the form. The format must be just an add-on to the image, not the image itself. If not, your merit is just having enough money to buy the film.

That is not easy.
