Untitled (Kindred Los Angeles)
As a result of breaking my neck, I was hospitalized for 392 continuous days between 2019 and 2020. This long term care facility and hospice center in Culver City, California was where I spent about 6 months of my medical internment.
Since 2016 or so, I have been shooting a rough average of around 1000 Polaroid instant photographs annually. During my year-long inpatient hospital stay, I only shot 14. This is one of them - a handheld triple exposure on the front lawn of Kindred Los Angeles - where old, poor people go to die.
