Gaertnerplatz
#0413
Gaertnerplatz is a square in Munich. It was built around 1860 as the central square of the newly built Gaertnerplatz district. The buildings in the background are all in the Gaertnerplatz district, very close to the square.
I live very close to this round square and wanted to capture my favorite place on Polaroid. But as is often the case, the project turned out to be much bigger than I originally expected. I threw away the first version of the mosaic, was about to give up and then started again from the beginning. If an emulsion lift failed, I could simply rush to Gaertenerplatz and photograph the picture again. I am now quite satisfied with the second version.

Tip:
The 29 images were taken with a Polaroid Now or an iPhone; the cell phone picture were printed out with Polaroid Lab. Then an emulsion lift on watercolor paper (600g).
My black and white Emulsion Lift are always mirror-inverted becauseI apply the emulsion to the carrier material with the back to the front. With the new i-Type films, the contours are sharper this way.
