Happy Little Accident
#0301
"we don't make mistakes, we just have happy little accidents".
Bob Ross's wisdom fits perfectly to this image: I photographed two tulips in small vases and wanted to do a dry lift. Unfortunately almost all chemicals got stuck on the emulsion layer. But the chemicals formed amazing patterns that somehow resembled a city map. But the biggest surprise was the negative. The same city map in white, black and blue. I did not manipulate the negative. So I have no idea where this blue color comes from in a black and white picture. Obviously I caught a very special moment in the development of the image with my Dry Lift.

Tip:
A dry lift. A little handcolour of the diptych. Then I stuck a colorful postcard behind the positive (right side). The negative (left side) I didn't manipulate. The blue colour is original!. Both pictures stick together on a white cardboard.
