Autumn in Venice. We are walking on the island of Guidecca. It is cold and we want to warm up with a coffee. As we enter the bar I see the dramatic shadow of a balcony on the wall opposite.

An emulsion lift on watercolor paper.
My black and white emulsion lifts are always mirror-inverted, as I apply the emulsion to the carrier material with the back to the front. With the new i-Type and SX70 films, the contours are sharper this way.
