I find that most people go to Japan and take photos of the same thing everybody else is taking. Temples, shrins, geisha, bustling city life which of course are great, but here is a rundown old mail box. gotta love it! was my first fav & vote for SotD,whis I could vote again

If only I was more into taking Polas at the time, there was so much to shoot. . I also really liked the exterior-moutned air conditioning units that were everywhere (many Sanyo, I think). They only needed a stick-on (vinyl?) stylus to be transformed into dj turntables. Everywhere I looked, I wish I had stylus stickers. So many many things to shoot, so many small details, many of them so damned smart . . . however, I was whisked along by my (at the time) Japanese in-laws so I had little time to "focus".

Glad you noticed this one. I really like it.

Oh I adore the blurred depth of field here! And the soft warm earthy tones. Nice contrast to the subjecdt itself. :-)
