Lia has a point, but I hope that she's not meaning to imply that the image of a scanned Polaroid doesn't constitute a manipulation in and of itself already. The quality of your scanner and your scanning software will determine the quality of the colors of the scanned image, for one. Most white borders of integral Polaroid images posted here have a clearly visible color cast, suggesting that the color displayed is already shifted from the physical original. Not to mention pesky details such as the contrast, brightness and gamma correction of the chosen display device of the respective viewer...once you digitize an instant photograph you're already a few steps removed from the purity of the instant photo by default. And even a Polaroid image in your hand will change depending on ambient light and other physical world factors (well, it's our impression of the photograph that changes, but when we're talking about photography that impression is what a viewer will carry away from a photograph)...this idea of an unchanging, pure, prisitine original is appealing but rather difficult to live up to, in my opinion - especially in a forum that deals in digitized copies of those original artifacts.

That being said, I wish I could see this in color too ;-) Regardless of how untrue to the original's colors those colors may be :-p

?

I SEE that it is turned to black and white so I asked what it looks like in COLOR

and: as already said before, we prefer origials as this page is about Polaroids, not digital manipulatoins of polaroids, but the original polaroid, the way yiou hold it in your hand. Editing them is uninteresting, and "fake". Anyone can edit anything, but we care about polaroids here.

what does it look like in color?
here we usually prefer the originals, as polaroids "cannot be edited" :-)

^
it's only turned to b&w
but everything can be edited
your only looking to your screen
