hello and thank you. sorry for the delay in my response. i've been away for some time from polanoid working on a exhibition of mine going up in london.
the camera is a sx 70. 600 film. the left image is the developing agent being smeared along the back of the image. the right image is a series of details i discovered in the cement work of The Royal Naval College in Greenwhich. The erosion of the buildings inspired me for this series. Erosion is an act of time. It is beautiful in many ways but for others it is cumbersome, tedious and expensive. War is the erosion of a political body. Not so much the status quo, you and i joe public, but the erosion of governments who have not the intellegence to offer a better solution. Its my personal little protest towards my gov't in the UK who represents me and the rest of the UK citizens. It is he (Blair) and his acts of self celebrity and hunger for iconic status that has eroded the UK's status in the world as a peaceful nation.
