great series Ulf... really amusing... but a tiny bit of critism... i found the titles were enough... i looked at the phot, read the title and then either laughed or contemplated... like this one... Did we lose it? ... the way you shoot these, this one in particular, belittles us a humans... i like it... brings us back down to earth. everyone looking to the heavens trying to find an answer, the one guy looking like the answer came and he did not like it, the thing in the background looks like a tv aetenna so there is some attempt being made to contact something, someone... the bleached light on the central figure like he's being questioned..... the cloud of radioactive blue raging in from the side like a tidal wave about to roll across these people so focused on the question they don't know what's gonna hit them from behind.... its a great photo and great title... then leaving the rest to interpretation.

thanks for it.

I like the way you see these images, read those titles and reall enjoy your interpretation of this particular one. And I agree with you in principle about the photos and their titles sufficing, or better yet, a lack of descriptions allowing more room for interpretation on the part of the viewer.

Said descriptions constitute characteristic banter that took place during the moments in which these photos of people looking up were taken.

The series that I'm currently uploading in chunks is of a documentary nature as a whole and that informs the choices I made. If you should stumble across my next handful of uploads you'll learn what it is I have documented with this series.

Of course your recommendation for not weighing down the individual photos with extraneous descriptions isn't any less valid simply because my motivation for presenting the images the way I do differs from how you might prefer to do it yourself. I may keep it in mind when uploading future photos which are not tied to a larger project, as a matter of fact :-)
