I'm trying to imagine what living in a human-scale ant farm would be like...where the only directions are up and down or front and back. I think I'd have a hard time arranging my furniture!

^ i guess one of the positives would be that there would also be a worker ant more than happy to help you out!

So much for old non-collapsing new buildings ;-)

I like the termite moundness...the bee hiveness...the coral reefness of these. I'm almost expecting to see people climb down the walls, fly or swim from the balconies.

^ i love the way you're interpreting this. it reminded me of an ant farm when i was there, and any minute now, the child who owns it will grow bored and throw it down, ants scattered everywhere...
