Yes, that's what a lot of West Texas looks like, where the desert is being kept at bay by agriculture (i.e. a lot of irrigation.) Thanks.

your rocket show (?) serie is nice, kinda esoteric, I can imagine anything I want about what they are watching up in the sky. strange feeling :s
^
When I first started thinking about going to this festival, I imagined taking portraits of people with their rockets, but when I got there I thought it much more appealing to photograph people waiting and watching. I'm glad you see these photos the way you describe them.

kiss-and-tell story: playmobil!

:p

Oh yeah. I dabbled in the ole Playmobil world of toys myself. Do you remember when Playmobil haircuts were all the rage with the kids a few years ago?

nope, that 'plastic doll' right in the left corner
^
I thought that was a little boy with a baseball hat. What kind of plastic dolls did (or do?) you play with, pray tell?

that woman on the left looks like....a plastic doll :)

ja wo fliegen sie denn?

^
The one with the white hat, you mean?

texas gives good sky !
^
And Texans like to brag about that sky any chance they get :-) In my experience it actually does warrant bragging rights (unlike countless other things that Texans like to claim as the biggest, best, and most dazzling etc.)
