yes it's that book. And yes it's not good portrait about outback people...beers, guns etc....
but i can imagine that outback people are not all that kind of person.... ha ha i hope!

i was reading a book about the outback by Kenneth Cook "wake in fright" do you know that book?.

^ Thanks mathieu...Wake In Fright? OMG - I had to read that book in High School English! I remember it wasn't a very uplifting book...about a school teacher on holidays getting stranded/caught up in a rather red-neck outback town and not really having a great time of it...thank heavens outback towns and people are normally friendlier than portrayed in that book. Perhaps I should read it again, I'd probably have a different perspective now I don't have to read it!
