I've never been to the Amoeba in LA, but the one in Berkeley cost me over a grand and an entire afternoon of trying to browse the entire store (impossible) on my very first visit. It's like a whiskey barrel for an alcoholic. Brr :-)

^ seriously. i can only enter after i've set a certain temporary budget for myself.
