Hi Kay. The name is Pete. That was a long response you gave. I came across your new uploads somewhere but now cannot find them. Ooops! Just discovered they weren't yours. In a rush at the moment but will respond more fully in your guestbook later. Happy New Year.

Strong, dominant expression. Beautiful mouth and wonderful lips. Penetrating eye(s). Femine, but with a lot of self posession. I like it all. It gets my vote.

Thank you very, very much for your words, photomass!! (For some reason, it feels a bit weird to use your nickname, but I don't know your real name, so I guess I'll just have to stick with the nick for now!)

I don't consider myself a girly girl (at all), and seem to have many "masculine qualities" to me (or at least more masculine qualities than the "average" woman.. if that makes any sense; it's kind of difficult to put into words what I'm trying to say here, especially because I'm actually very anti-stereotypes and cliches.. But hmm, yeah, I just often seem to think and feel and "analyse" things differently than most other women [that I know/talk with/have to do with]); at the same time, I do (sometimes) like to "be", or better put (as I am female anyway), appear extra-feminine.. ("extra" by my standards, haha).

It's very interesting to know that (my) self-possession comes across in the photo - thanks a lot for letting me know about this. It's often difficult to know what others see/don't see in a picture, or what one is able/not able to communicate. The self-possession bit is spot-on, and even though I know it can sometimes be[come] problematic, I consider it one of my best (or better: most useful) traits.

Thank you very much, also for the v+f! I'm happy that it turned out so well - wouldn't have given it another shot (no pun intended) if it hadn't (yeah, I hate wasting polaroids).

this is excellente!
how did you manage the double explosure things with the long exposure as written about on another one and yet make it so crisp and stuff? did you turn light off as you moved? and how long was the exposure anywaaaay?
it's reeeeeally good. tell me everything. i will vote for it regardless :)

^
Hi, hi, thank you very much, also for voting!!

As I said, it's really only *technically* a long exposure. Maybe "multiple exposure through long exposure" would be a better name for the whole procedure..?!

This photo (as well as all the other multiple exposure self-portraits) was taken in almost complete darkness - in the middle of the night, with all lights turned off (there was only a little light coming in from outside, through my window).

What I did was use that trick where you open the front panel after pressing the shutter release, which keeps the shutter open infinitely.. After releasing the shutter, I moved back *in front* of the camera where I 'positioned' myself.. and then I simply used the flash of one of my other polaroid cameras to 'illuminate' myself. (;

This one is really good. I'm having some 1980s flashbacks with it, but I mean that in the best of ways. :-)
^
Hahaha, 80's flashbacks!! (; I also got that when I had my hair dyed black with one strand of blonde hair at the front. For a reason! ;D

Thank you!
