As for the flash, if it has a fixed intensity (which would make sense for an ID camera) there's going to be some optimal distance to use it at with the films you use in the camera. In these pictures, you can tell that the exposure is pretty close to being correct when your sister is at distance that's more or less where you'd photograph her for an ID picture. The closer shots are washed out and overexposed because the light it too bright at that distance (see: the inverse square law for light.) Probably what you'll want to do is figure out what the right distance is for the flash and preset focus, and then photograph subjects with that in mind. Or you could experiment with blocking some of the light from the flash at closer distances (i.e. covering it with a tissue.)

thanks! i suppose i could cover it with something light, when i tried with something dark ithe whole picture came out black....but it would make sense to make the intensity less. ill figure it out and get used to it someday. it's just so big, with no view finder! lol. makes things all the more complicated. and im pretty sure it's like backwards or something, because i had it set up where my sister would be looking at herself in the squres but it turnred out opposite. weird...i dunno. but thanks.

does the passport camera allow you to take 1 pic at a time? if so, then cool. i know where a polaroid mini-portrait can be found, but it's at a used camera shop, and the guy probably wants too much $$$ for it. also, did you find 'printers alley'? btw...1 vote.

I'm in favor of the whole sexy librarian/bookworm theme this passport picture has. Geek girls are the best!

Pretty girl. You read Kafka? - excellent taste...and you have a passport camera. Will these synchronicities ever stop?
