2007-10-30 // 01:33:58 sixblueten You really should check out the work of Hiroshi Sugimoto. Not just these »link but the whole package.

true. I've been standing once in front of 2 or 3 big prints in a museum once by accident (just next to a turrell and a complete viola retrospective if i remember right) and count them to the deepest art-experiences I ever had.
thx for the link, and the name overall, as I did not remember it. I'm quite bad with names sometimes.
2007-04-09 // 23:49:04 chien_andalusia i heard that a certain chemical needed was not available any longer, but i like your story better :)
luckily, i've hidden some films away, too. but in three years or so you will not be able find any more of them. what a pity.
in the other hand, maybe there will be something new then, who knows...

there already is something new, the sx70blend. haven't tryed it yet, but from what i saw, it's nice/better for low light and also has a certain characteristic - but still, a different one...
i guess that chemical story is bullshit. these days? in china nobody cares about it. i just don't believe it.
2007-04-09 // 23:29:23 chien_andalusia colors to die for...
i wish they'd never quit producing sx-70 film.

me too, me too...but this what happens if world is short-ruled by money and people decide to close the last plant and rebuilt it in china, just to find out thay don't know how to put it together again...at least this is what I heard. Even if not true...nice story. and somehow still true...
I still have some, luckily. but they age...
