You con be lucky for such friends. And love this portrait and her look.

:-) me too. and I am, absolutely (no matter where they are right now, there's always something close)

great...especially the details that slowly emerge after staring at for some time. Absolutely perfect, even with the tattered appearance of a worn pola.

good to hear. it's the slow, subtle and little things that make perception what it is

beautiful portrait, gerald. it's really hard to take eyes from her...
is it really a negative?

^
yepp. both.
(Think I inverted it. Depends a lot of exposure, amount of light afterwards and expiration how they come out. Some work just like that, some need to get inverted. One of those nights where you get home with a lot of wet negatives between your ten fingers :-)

Oh, this is quite nice. The worn film only adds to the effect, giving her a bit more clutter to cut through - more rewarding this way. Love the blues.

tod - I love your comments.
I don't know what you do for your living, but it would be a waist if it has nothing to do with your eye and your words.

If you check your favlinks you'll see that I have caged Lea for the time being. I will feed her well and from time to time gaze into her eyes and try to see what lies beyond. Does she eat bananas or should I import some more of the tasty scottish-austrian chocolate that we all long for?

(There's this air of closeness in this pola that I never-ever manage to catch, probably because my friends are pissed off at constantly having a camera in their face. I've never been able to shoot any decent portraits with the ProPack, but on the other hand portrait-polas is not really what I do. At least not well. What do I do?! I have no idea.)

^
well, you didn't. If you have a close look, you will realize you missed one from the very beginning. and you won't be able to cage her. she's free and deep as the ocean. she might appreciate bananas, but my breakfast banana curd is already one of her favourite, so you are out of luck.

the propack is wierd, right, but as I managed to damage my keystone everflash with latvian sand from the beach, it's my last chance to make polaroids if I don't wan't to hassle arounf with bulbs, which is a bad idea if you might have some drinks. and we had.
well, a.) she is unbelievable beautiful and b.) she likes my polas, so I am already a very lucky person :-)
I upload another in a sec to prove.
Yeah, that air of closeness is the reason I love it so much. Normally I don't tell what I see in the images, but you named it, so..

^
and btw - she is already addicted to polaroid. she's my fixed first assistant of choice and I have a polaroid with food waiting to get in her hands next time we see, wherever.
