Hiya nutkarb, nice shot, what film did you use?
This phenomenon (of the black sun) is called solarisation. Fuji Instant materials (FP100C and especially Instax) easily show this effect when too much light exposes the light sensitive salts and the graduation curve turns back (to black in this case). (Thanks to poki for this info)
