I was born into the protection of a German shepherd named Bear. Bear was a sweet, doting and noble dog. But not so sweet when anybody else came too close to me; He once tore the pants right off a man who tried to pick me up! Alas, he died when I was four.

You know, the light and setting here remind me of something out of an Eric Rohmer film; perhaps A Tale of Springtime.
