now i must ask you- how do you re-activate the self timer and keep the camera fixed on the shot you are taking?

i see your background stays the same but you are repeated.

i go to close the camera and re-activate the self timer and i can't help but move the camera?

^ i always use the tripod..tripod is my best friend, haha.. for example, the camera is on a tripod, i take a first picture (using selfimer) of a room/bed..then i come back to the camera (don't move it, tripod is a good thing for it), close it, deactivate selftimer, open the camera, get in the picture (on the bed, stand at the wall, whatever..) and take another picture with you in it using selftimer.. hope, that helps :)
