^ you remove the borders then you separate black back part from picture part... don't know if it's clear... :s

i´m not sure about the technique ... give us some clues...

^ separate 2 parts of 600 picture scratch picture with lil water and the back of a match to remove the picture where you want it to be transparent find a cool background in a magazine or a book glue cut
