^ I know, it's depressingly digital - but I'm a strong believer in loving the final image, regardless of how it was created. Now, if I could actually get my hands on some integral b&w film I'd be a happy bunny :p

so what is a monochrome conversion? I have never heard of it

^ It's one of these newfangled things where once you have scanned the photo in to photoshop and decided it looks really cool you can't help checking the 'monochrome' box in the channel mixer adjustment layer, then sit agonising for tens of minutes, flicking backwards and forwards between the two versions, before you finally decide to go black and white, even though you really can't decide between them.
