Yes this is true! without the photographer the camera is nothing. I like to think that the 2 of us work well together soemtimes anyway!

why thank you, I never feel like I have much to do with my shots though. It's the camera, light & film that do all the work really! Ok I guess a bit of my heart goes into it as well and someone has to be there to press the button.

Yeah it's not so bad I think! it sat in my brothers car for a couple months cause I didnt like the shot at the time I took it. found it in his car a few weeks ago and my thoughts had changed about it. Always nice when other people like it as well! thanks

no, it was a bit weird to be honest. Osaka was supposed to be slap bang in the middle of it, but it hung a right just before it got to us and headed out to the pacific. Pretty lucky, by all accounts. The next day we had 2 earthquakes to make up for the disapointment. Nothing too crazy down here, but pretty nasty up in niigata apparently. You can't turn your back on mother nature for a minute round here.

this one's so nice. composition is just right. the colors are super. has that look of a painting too.

It's funny cause I took this shot and forgot it in my brothers car until last week (took it on may 4.) Actually I remembered it was there but just didnt really care, at the time I didnt really like it. Then last week I was in his car again, had a look at it and thought hey I really dig this!! Strange how that happens. that's one of the reasons I am not a fan of digital, to easy to get rid of photos that you may later like!
