When it is a shadow of a tree...or perhaps not even that, as Magritte would say "This is not a shadow of a tree" - indeed, it is a polaroid of a shadow of a tree. What is wonderful here for me is that the essence, the shape of the branches are captured against the wood texture of the ?plywood cladding the shadow falls against. the shape of wood in it's natural form thrown against a surface of wood in a very processed state. Is that poetic or what?

aha! dear AP Magritte. To be walking along an urban environ and see the passing being cast across the street, from life of one form to the next, to be approcahing it and surrender to its truth was like witnessing natures little secret while everyone else was talking. I honestly don't know how this looks as an aesthetic piece, but as a discovery amongst the noise and pollution of a vary busy London High Street, to see this little shadow play of the gods, warning us that we all face a reinvention of some sort - achhh by god was it good.
Wish you were there with your tank. We would have had the street come to a stop!
