Hey Steve... I was bored so I thought I would have a quick look through your gallery as I've not been here in a while. I couldn't believe this never won he kiss comp.... then I checked the winner, which was really good, but this definitely deserved an honorable mention!

thanks.. well there were 4 polas of horses that came out. they looked good together but felt the really nice one should be seen on its own. the last one which i haven't put up yet is probably the best (the horse really looks on fire and is centre frame) except it has a big (destructive rather than beautiful) error in the lower portion, so am thinking of a way to montage it or something into something larger. which may include the others too..
looks like a lovely lovely camera and a bargain too. haven't come across one of those but may well do an ebay search now...

i love the b + w photo underneath and the sepia look with the dash of colour. this is amazing... btw - what camera is the girl holding?

^ Firstly congrats for shot of the day, the other two polas are gorgeous too, what did they look like as a set of three? funny was gonna put some equine polas on last night, you beat me to it! The camera is a canonet QL17, picked it up in a charity shop for a fiver! lovely camera, gave it to Nina as a gift when I saw that photo, she took it in the lav of a bar last year, forgot all about it til I developed it a few weeks ago, she's an amazing photographer, wish her work was on here, anyway, keep up the good work, thanks, Steve. |
