thanks! that's one thing I adore about this film. it has such rich colours, and the gradient is always so fresh.

apparently it is called Coober Pedy and it's in South Australia- i'm loving these chats- making me do my research!

I don't think i've ever done desert- done rainforests and stuff thugh !

^
Went to the desert on the weekend. Took some photos from the plane, but sadly didn't get many on the ground at all. I hate when a holiday ain't a proper holiday!

that'll likely be in western australia. but there's deserts all over australia (don't believe the tourism ads!). all states have almost desert like regions, new south wales has broken hill where mad max was filmed :)

think my trip to rural victoria will be the closest to desert that i've ever been!

ps. making me hungery talking about deserts :p

LOOK!!

The little penguin is the smallest of all penguins. Standing about 30 to 35 cm in height, it weighs approximately one kilogram when fully grown.

The little penguin is the only penguin species that breeds on the Australian mainland. Little penguins are found along the southern coasts of Australia, from near Perth in Western Australia to around Coffs Harbour in northern NSW. They also occur in New Zealand.

Originally, little penguins were fairly common on the Australian mainland, but these days their colonies are generally restricted to offshore islands. Approximately 25,000 pairs nest on islands off the coast of NSW. The largest colonies are on:

Montague Island
Tollgate Island
Brush Island.

Currently, the only known mainland breeding colony in NSW is in a secluded cove in the Manly area of Sydney Harbour. This colony has been declared an endangered population.

there you go only a 20min drive from me! haha thanks for doing the research for me ;)
