true.

(btw, the pink magic: comes from touching/knitting/pressing /shaking the pola while develoving. guess it was windy :)

^
oh do they? i thought that of the creases, but the little leaky trails i assumed to be something to do with the saline... Thank you.

it was windier than you could believe.

i agree. love the pink!

i've been throwing so many photos straight in the sea after taking them now, but haven't quite got the same effect...

try it!

i meant to reply to this a few weeks ago and i must have forgotten.

i went to a slide show recently of photos from california and it was full of point lobos shots (naturally). i tell you when it isn't in polaroid it loses lots of magic. or maybe just adams was magic. the digital shots i saw were just poor copies of the moody polaroids from the 40s 50s 60s...

but i guess you already knew that ;-)

i'd still like to go there, but feel luckier about my own ocean now, and less needy of the faraway ones.

crazycrazy - I've been reading an old polaroid mag from the 60's this morning and found a polaroid from ansel adams taken at Point Lobos with a 110B, and though it's more total than this, it looks amazingly similar. but it's missing the foam and the pink magic ;-)
I'd say a.) your eye is in a good tradition and b.) you proofed one does not have to make the way to point lobos ;-)

^
did you mean this one:

»link

does this link even work?

i'd love to go to point lobos and see some of those views in the flesh... tthanks for the comparison!

wonderful. the pink from the seawater?? adds to the foam. with the focus, it's an extra double-layer. wowwow
^
