hehe... small world :)
I picked up mine while on holiday back in the UK, he threw in a whole bunch of cool stuff, including an original case, lens shade and filters for black and white and a good price on the 203mm ektar.... The camera itself was as near to mint as I have seen.. looks nearly unused...

Yea, that is one really amazing lens.. you should see the detail in the full rez scan on that 55 neg.. unreal for a 50 year old lens... rumour has it that it is sharpest wide open too.. and I dont doubt it.. if you find one, snap it up.. but best of all , get one in a supermatic X shutter, as that will sync with modern studio flashes.. the supermatic shuter mine is in syncs with bulb flashes, but I hacked mine so that it syncs with my studio flash now :)
^
thank you for your tips!
I was going to buy a graflex flash gun just to try old bulbs...
only few flash shots for now (manual synchronisation ;)

I like it a lot, a lot more movements than the crown graphic, and more choice with modern lens etc..Well made and really quite a pretty camera... but the crown graphic is great with the rangefinder for quick hand held shots.. and will handle rough treatment alot better
^
I would like to try some new lenses for my crown graphic.
Your kodak ektar 203mm has left me dumbfounded!

this is beautiful. i am trying some long exposures, with varying success. okay...with many failures! how long was the exposure time on this?
^
it was exposed for about 1 minute: first and unique shot, no light meter... lucky guy! ;) I love the uncertainty of results. (the subject is my grade school building)

why? i love the unfocused foreground

it is just what I prefer, because of the intersecting straight lines. backround is a bit blurred
