This is the first of three parts. They're in order on my pix page. It got unseasonably warm here in Tennessee for a few weeks and then the temperature dropped like a rock and it started to snow. I went out early on the morning of the first snowfall to see what I could find that was picture worthy. I came across this group of nests in some low brush. In one of them a mama bird had mistaken the warmth for spring and laid her eggs. The snow then froze them and they had burst and were dripping like little yolk-cicles out of the bottom of the nest.
