i did search for similar shoes a the local thrift store - twice actually - without luck. my current shoe selection just didn't look right (birkenstocks) so i went with the non-striped sox. i didn't think anyone would notice my feet anyway.

I'm not too sure about that.
It is good for a laugh. I really like how I look bigger in the old photo versus the new one. I wish I'd been closer to the camera yesterday so that the lederhosen would appear the same size.

I had a tough time taking a mediocre picture yesterday. I wanted to use b/w pack film but couldn't trip the shutter. Next I wasted a pack of Image film in a Spectra with a faulty self timer. Finally I settled on the reliable old SX-70. Couldn't risk not getting in.

Solution - Go to thrift store to find vintage shoes. I tried that the other day but was not successful. In the end I decided to just get it close.
