It is a common object at Japanese(and many countries') seashore.
I love to photograph common objects like I meet them for the first time.
CDR says it is a conqueror of land. I agree with him.

I haven't heard that word used in a creative sense for a while, if ever. My degree dissertation was about the evolution of tetrapods and their ultimate conquest of land. If that's not the sort of tetrapod you're talking about and you're just meaning any old four legged animal then sorry for this intrusion.

Somehow I hesitated to give the title:Tetrapod to this picture. Probably I prefer that it looks like something else, ... something without uses or meanings.
... I, if anything, love natural rocks better than artificial concrete. I don't dislike concrete, but they're too much.
