2008-06-23 // 09:44:49 CYRILLE PANCHOT Ok i agree with you it's not a question of competition and i'm not personally concerned. I just love watching all these pictures. Every day i look at every pictures and sometimes some are touching me deeply. I immediately like yours, looked at your blog looked at your links, Mandy Lamb great pictures etc etc . I immediately reacted when i saw your first pictures here..
I was making this comment because i personally know some people who are doing there pictures not to be original but just because that's the way they feel.(and that means a lot for them) I know that makes them sad to be copied.
No private message that's why i send it to you there in in the "forgotten pictures" of your gallery, and i also hopped you would delete my comment.
In an other hand when you really like some kind of pictures unconsciously your work changes... so it's the way "art" goes... I'm sure your work influences the way i take pictures. :)
And yes there are some little wars there it's sometimes boring sometimes ridiculous or funny sometimes justified. there are many addicted people here so the reactions are irrational.
What i like most here is when people collaborate with each others only for fun or artistically. And there are many collaborations here.
Still curious to see your pack film pictures...

hey man i wanted to respond to your comment, but i am going to delete it in a few days. let me explain. i really like to encourage people to continue to make art, i don't like to think of this as a competition. if someone asks me how i do something techinically i tell them, i don't hold onto secrets. if someone mimics your work you can only hope that yours stands up in the end. every now and then i notice some weird internet wars going on between people on this site and i really have no interest in participating in those conversations. i like just looking at polaroids that people post and responding if one catches my eye. i also really like communicating back and forth with people about the work they are doing (you in particular, i have enjoyed our short dialogs). so i just want you to understand why i am taking away your comment. i don't think in the end it would do anyone any good to read it. i really wish there was a way to just send people private messages on this so this wouldn't all have to be public.
