I love you warsaw series so much. I like to look at them to see the places I visit almost everyday from this special choco-perspective. It amazes me how you captured the beauty of them, which is hidden for most of the visitors. And the residents as well.

This is a very big compliment, and one that makes me very happy. As it's something I want to achieve. For my own eyes, when I travel, or generally, see, and for my photos, for others. And I have to admit, I wonder why I never replied to this comment. Maybe I did at another place, back then, in another context which I don't remember anymore. However, looking through my pictures right now to collect some for a portfolio, and reading this comment leaves me with a warm feeling.
I hope my reply still reaches you.
And if - how are you?
After all this years.

g, this blows my tiny mind... reminds of the first choco I ever saw, one of stefano's , when I realised this film does something special... the sharpness is awe inspiring...

ah ah, i doubt you have a tiny mind ;-)
well, thanks. indeed, it is fascinating. one just has to put them in a camera where one squares the rectangle and does not have to guess the focus (crazy decision to produce them in square..)

i've got some painfull meories in warsaw ;-( but your pics are great. It's always the same with choco : like a travel back in time...
^
thanks zvevi. hmmm - choco and it's use. have to say i have a bit problems with it, exactly don't want this 'back'. but depends - if i get the same feel like with some old postcards, as ivan said, i like it. because i like them for there timeless appeal. the 'old' just brings a closer look, which then may get more. if macs wouldn't have mentioned the scene, i would have damned votes once again..
waw was very interesting (next to the fun meeting inkaust again :), and I tried to get some of the layers and contrasts which integrate so nearly not mentionable in choco the last days.

hope not very painful ;-) worth to go for sure.

:)) she is for sure a girl and she is walking to you. I have some doubts about Stefan, but the camera peeping out of her pocket is truly his sx-70...

so classic and stylish. who's that girl? inkaust? no, not the first one ;)
^
hm. no, sure not inkaust. she had to work. and sure I could tell you in an instant if she would be one of the other ones. but in fact, I can't even tell you if the other one (the one you probably mention) is a girl, and if walking to or from. my full attention was on the woman in front to step in the right position.
considering the skinny legs, it could also be stefan.
nice thought.

thank you my friend. I'm more comfortable with the votes now, as you said 'scene'.
important for me to know.

i think choco was made for this type of shot... really suits the old architecture.
love the streetlamps too...

it's a thankful object for choco, yes (but there are far more possibilities for choco). if you use this film in a camera where you don't have to guess the focus, it will unveil it's love for details and structures. and it tends to beautifully render dark areas, which is the reason why I had to take this one. just knew the (really darker) archway on the left would beautifully go together with the brighter part of the street in the background. then this woman came nearer and I just hoped she will not scream that I take a picture of her.
