Odessa... the town is VERY small, but Odessa is by a bigger city, Kearney Nebraska... you may have heard of it before? maybe.
There isnt a lot to say about Odessa because there is hardly anything here... only cornfields :)

thats awesome! its good to meet another midwester!
what made you move to new york?

^

the Devil.

not really. i just graduated from school and had big travel plans that unfortunately fell thru. a friend was moving here and asked me to come, so we moved here without jobs and without a place to live--it was insanity! i hope to move back to iowa someday.
{midwest rules!}

ehh, doesnt sound like fun. luckily, for us... the days have been up in the 40s, and today was nearly in the 50s... the nights arent so bad now.
^

meh--i miss my midwest, where, if it's gonna be so cold, it snows. and snows. and snows. i think the plain states get winter right. ;))

just whisper in it's ear where to...i know, it's a hard time for cranes these days, just virtual business going on..but the one in R. already is in pension and probably will stay forever »link . if a second comes, chances are good nobody would destroy a love (do you know the story about the brown bear in estonia?)

(btw, i went to the seaside today to have a little rest. i didn't close the window. did you? did it rain?)

^

no--tell me about the brown bear in estonia! i only know about the bear in russia, who was taken from its home in siberia to perform in a moscow circus. it rode a bike. do you know this story?

i went to a garden today to rest! i did not close the window. it didn't rain. it felt nice to come home to an open window, with some breeze coming in, and the sounds of the street below.

^

and--i am whispering in the crane's ear now, and the crane is unfolding its wings, just a bit, and nodding its head, and i think maybe even a little smile is starting to appear...

hm, bit much of docks maybe but i couldn't live without them neither. and they make a perfect pair with the expiration effects on top left in the sky. btw, could you add these cranes into stefans bag? i love cranes, and i'd like to meet them a crane in riga. think they would go well with each other :-)
^

origami cranes migrate about this time... migration patterns may lead them off track a bit, this year... ;)

I'm going to refrain from editing the comment I left below and just say that I do like this picture just as it is. That's not to say I wouldn't like to see a variation of this wonderful photo - - - I probably would. I might even like said variation - if it were made by one with a keen eye.
Bye.

Great sky in this shot - just perfect for this film. Not being critical here but I'd like to have seen this one without the foreground dock - just a little water with reflection, curve on the left, and more sky. Hope you don't mind my saying so. No disrespect to this photo at all.
^

amazing comments, these, because i feel the same way. still not sure--i thought i'd post it and figure it out along the way. i was disappointed when i saw how much of the dock was in the shot--i didn't account for that while i was framing (with my right eye, i think!). then stefano made that comment about an origami crane, which i loved, so i left the pola up...for now!

but, anyway, i love that kind of constructive criticism that i can learn from--you are really looking, and offering such great suggestions, and i really appreciate that.

thank you!

Is that a construction crane? If so, then it is an origami construction crane.

^

yes, that is a construction crane. it is also origami. safer that way, hopefully.
