i have heard is not possible to use a tripod in new york whyle the are scary it can be a weapon...lol...true?

^ Yeah sure sure... you never experienced a tripod slash behind the head... it's hurt a lot. ;-)... Really i dont know... never heard about that... anyway i always carry a midget as a tripod... nobody was fear of midget ;-))
