i'd love to see the original. am pretty sure the matte surface just fits very well and adds the last piece of magic which gets lost in the bytes here. love what you wrote about this, and about images.

^ Thank you! And you're right - the matte surface has such a different feel. It seems less like a photograph, somehow.

Because of this picture, i'm dancing in a circle screaming 'hey,hey' and lifying my legs a lot. In a dangerous way in first and third person, i would say.

Time to go diving! It seems like looking at the sky underneath the water.

^ Yes, and it looks like there's a lake behind the mountains - but there isn't. Another illusion. The underwater look must be the effect of the two coloured gels. And the matte film seems to be a bit different to the ordinary sort. Don't know why, as the emulsion should surely be the same.
