I can't, i have a concert with the Philarmonica. I can't remember which one, what it was certainly a Philarmonica. (I never play with simple Symphony or Camera orchestras, i have a status)
^

i thought you played the jaw's harp, not the philharmonica?

2008-06-29 // 17:09:31
Urizen
Ok, i'll confess, i'm a very important spanish jaw harp solist, you'll have to talk to my manager. The actual question is: when is your band going to audition for me?
^

hahhaha! you're lovely. next tuesday, then?

The very best Infinity picture yet. In my humble opinion. And I humbly advise you not to bother disagreeing with me.

^

we are wearing matching humbles. how embarrassing. please advise next time on what you'll be wearing.

(thank you...such a fun project--do you know marco's address, by the way? i send this to him next, no?)

Who are you exactly? Julie Duggan or Matokie Slaughter?
^

oh my gosh--you just introduced me to a banjo player i've never heard of--now i will have to find Matokie Slaughter's music!

i am ms. slaughter. they propped me up in this chair.

when are you going to audition for the band?

I like your beard, makes you look wise.
^

did you like my dramatic pause before i started playing?

thank you. i have rocks tangled in my beard.

I never joke about jaw harps.

(I have one, but i'm obviously quite bad at it. But now i'm dead curious to listen to your music)

^

jaw harps are deadly serious.

here is a clawhammer banjo tune--obviously, he's way better than me, but we look a lot alike. just imagine him in a polka dot dress and pretty shoes.

No,no, no joking. But i'm clumsy and non-american, so the closest i could get is playing the jaw's harp.
^

!!!!!
listen, forget about Rastafarian fish! let's go on the road!!

(i play old-time string band music, from around the civil war era, in a style called clawhammer. do you really play the jaw's harp? you're joking, now!)

2008-06-29 // 16:11:47
Urizen
NO WAY!!! Do you really play the banjo? I can't believe you. I always wanted to die and be reborn as an old banjo player (always wondered why) I swear i'm not joking. But you have teeth, don't you?
^

you're joking. you're joking, right?!
speaking of which, here is a banjo joke:

Q: what do you call a person who hangs around musicians?
A: the banjo player.

i have one tooth. another reason my head is not in the picture.

^

yes, sorry. i really play the banjo.

Are you a musician? Do you have the typical myspace where i can listen to your art? (I hope Esther doesn't read this, she'll rewrite it adding an 'f')
^

i play the banjo, but i don't have a myspace or an (f)art or any money. only fantastic shoes and a hunk of wood for a brother.

What's the thing you're playing, by the way?
^

thank you for asking that!! i have been wanting to talk about my lovely mandolin harp, which was made in 1902, and which i found at a flea market here a few weeks ago!
i'm hoping to fix it up a bit, poor thing.

Not yet, the responsible guy found it too ghostly and spooky, but he said he liked the idea, so i'll have to rethink it a bit. (Suggestions are welcome) If i manage to think a positive way of doing the same, they offered place for an exhibition next summer. Let's see
^

ah wow! that's great! i hope that turns out. maybe the hard, cross-processed colors as a ground for the softer-tinted lifts made him feel that way? not sure, because i think the execution is great.

always a possibility... and coins are much better spent on film anyway!

(you're welcome, thanks for adding me too and congrats for being SoTD :))

^

well, coins are better spent on food, really, but i've cut down on that!! thank you, dear!

may she be often lucky, in tune and so well dressed-head to toe!
gorgeous, i love it.

(and the right shoes for every occasion!)

^

what a message, you lovely person! thank you!

{you know i specialize in just that!}

but my head looks like a mess; that's why it's not in the picture. the hat suggests the presence of a head, you see.

that's very sad... she'll just have to keep on busking in very nice but non-sparkly ones until she has the funds to buy some (unless shops are taking polaroids as currency now) ;)
^

true, but now she spends most of her coins on film...
maybe she will walk through some glitter or fresh silver spray paint in the street...

(thank you for the friendship!)

polaroid is gold and this shot is a diamond. I love everything about it. thanks for sharing this delicate piece of beauty.
^

oh--thank you for that! polaroid is definitely gold... ksvks' pola, which is in the hat along with some euros and pesos, is an sx-70... i'm framing it!!!

{oops--i mean--it's time zero film...sorry--my brain is already on vacation!!)
