what an exhibition this could be. the ones that never made it... what happened to the block of films that failed this blue test? bin too? or out the back door and sold cheaply?

what sort of film is this in the bin?

^ I would imagine they would put the batch to one side and maybe do further testing with packs in that batch and subsequent packs to see if they had the same fault.... They liked the machines to work at at least 97% efficiency. This bin contains 600 film and Image film. They had 6 machines producing 600 film, and 1 machine left producing Image.

(do you know why they used blue light to test?)

^ Not sure why they used blue light. With each pack they tested they would line the 10 polaroids up together and check for colour consitensy across the pack. Perhaps the blue showed up emulsion problems best...
