2008-07-15 // 16:59:49 Esther.Z.Schnickenacke Back in the old century you speak of, I believe that Britain was too gripped by the general mystification surrounding the respective genders and sexualities of Boy George, Annie Lennox and Freddie Mercury to concern itself with such fripperies as science-fiction magazines.
I'm looking forward to seeing your costume now.
2008-07-15 // 16:25:39 Esther.Z.Schnickenacke Poor Rodney. These stories remind you how important it is to make the best of the time you have. And it does at least sound as though Rodney did exactly that.
Just one question: what in the name of God were you supposed to be transmogrifying him into here? Was he going as a plate of spaghetti Bolognese?

LOL Esther! Did you ever read the magazine 'Heavy Metal' or 'Metal Hurlant' as the original French version was called? Anyway there was an illustrated story called 'The Nikipol Trilogy' by the artist Enki Bilal (later to be interpreted as 'Immortal' in a film version) - well, we used to nickname Rodney Nikipol (for some obscure reason I have now forgotten) and with the facial makeup I was trying to replicate the cool facial decoration of the characters in the original graphic story...
at least I think thats what we were doing here...
Thanks for listening!
*hugs*
