well, i've got about 8 packs of the '03 plus some that's older. i'll never get to all the fresher stuff that soon. better to share it with a fellow enthusiast. send me email & we'll go from there.

you'd better hurry. My films have almost no chemistry (or sensibility) left
^
this was from a batch that expired 03/2003. freshest i've ever seen. stuff i have that expired in '99 & '00 is very flat & sometimes has these horrible bubbles. you're right i'd better hurry. you want a couple of boxes?

g.
it's simply great. did you scan it after a while (because it's already so reddish)?
it wierd, it has something of a solarized image, though, if looked at closely, i can't find those parts.

[back from image to object, i once drove to the oldest tree in eastern europe -somewhere in my gallery, but not one where you can imagine it really, have to find them- and though it was not as old and big (also got struck by a lightning some hundred years ago, so parts are missing and the rest got support by struts), i spent there some hours. it speaks.]

thank you g. i scanned about 2 weeks after shooting. i didn't even look at it until that time. it actually looks quite neutral on my monitor and the polaroid itself is very neutral. i'm using 20" iMac that's about 3 years old (not calibrated). it does have a solarized look to it though. i attributed this to the relative flatness of the film and the contrast of the subject. interesting. perhaps i should send this one to you for inspection and a more professional scan. ; )

yes, i just looked at this tree for quite a while before photographing. there were many struts and posts helping to support the massive limbs. there were some places where huge limbs had broken off at some point. after walking around and making a few photos i felt the need to touch this old lady. i suppose it was just my mind but i felt something. this tree knows so much. i learned just a little.

will reply to email tomorrow.
i will send this one to you. this photo need to travel.

an additional note about the scan. i use an HP scanner - 300dpi, scanned as a color image with the border. i reduce the highlights until the border looks correct, then using photoshop i adjust the rotation if it's not square and crop out the border. then i save as a jpeg to reduce the size. in the past i've left the border but find i'm liking the cropped image better in most cases. on some i'll still leave the polaroid frame/border.
