I noticed, yet didn't TRULY see, until someone with a marvelous pair of glasses showed me. (and, of course, in a window ;))

I keep thinking of the movie Grey Gardens when I see this picture, that eventually trees and all kinds of vegetation would grow through the floorboards of their house, swallowing them up and dragging them down into the earth... nice pic...
^

oh--what a comment. now all i can see is little Edie, standing there saying, "Oh, it's a sea of leaves. If you lose something you can't find it again. It drops to the bottom...."

pardon me but I guess you and brian have not seen The Ruins.

oh god. is that a horror movie? is it more horrific than gasping for breath on a lichen-covered rock?

^

seriously, you would not want to leave here--there's so much to see--winding stairs that end abruptly, rusty window frames opened out to the woods, strange partitions....

How intriguing. Is this a tumbledown house with no roof and trees growing inside? Because if it is, I think I want one.
^

yes it is.
you will have to hike 3.0 miles, on a consistent vertical, to get one. you will feel like you are going to die. you will sprawl across a lichen-covered rock, and not care who sees you like that, for ten minutes. you will say, "this lichen-covered rock would make a good tombstone." but the house with trees inside will be so worth it.
