sounds wonderfully hideous to me .. do you know its the bellyboarding champs this weekend.. i can't go as am going to bestival .. i guess I could walk around bestival in a 50s swimsuit and a belly board .. but I couldn't do that to the British Public .. also I don't have a bellyboard .. oh but this is all giving me good ideas for fancy dress..

sounds brilliant .. I don't know much about making books but I know a man who does, my friend Jan is a book binder .. I could ask him for you (maybe give you his number) .. are you gonna make the actual book or stick the polas in an existing book .. will people touch the book? what about sticky paws..

^ well i'm thinking i'm gonna use watercolour paper as the pages (so i can paint on them too), make a cover out of a stiff card and then cover in something garish like velvet and gold. does that sound hideous enough yet? i really don't know. but no, not an existing book. i expect people to touch the book but i'll ask them not to touch the photos, but i don't mind them touching the pages. the book is only for that night. ....

^ haha yeah i guess. think i'm gonna be able to sort myself out for "there's no surf". it's all in my head, i just need to get it nailed physically. it involves making a handmade book. ever done that? if i stick polaroids to something is there a glue or material i can use that won't damage them when i "unmake" the book? Or maybe i could make little pockets for the photos to sit in.. aarrgh. i'm gonna have 6 big prints, a few painted wooden boards with original roids stuck on, 5 painting/pola montages and the book... phew.
