I've recently picked up EE100 Special myself for $10nzd. I love it. Btw, You've got some serious EE100 skills ;) - this shot is quite interesting - usually i would expect 'normal' colours fro on m ID-UV film - its always quite purpley for me. Lovely shot congrats on SOTD for this one :)
^
Thanks ;-)

My EE 100 is so full of holes that i've found the only film that looks good in it is ID-UV (because it's so slow). Otherwise it has to be really overcast to get good results from - say - 125i.

I find the 80 ISO ID-UV has a blue tinge and the 100 ISO ID-UV can look a bit purpley, so check which one you are using? And I think it's always best in bright but not direct sunlight. . . .

EE100 Specials, Reporters, Pro Packs... i just call them pieces of plastic shit.

so there!

apparently it takes more talent than i possess to make one of them work properly though.

ps// so there!

in order to properly answer your question i'll need to go back and look at all the others. this could take some time 'cause i'm really lazy.

just looking at this one alone i'd say it's got something to do with the curve of the horizon, the clouds, softness of the wheat/grass, the fact that these horses are probably secretly looking for mushrooms, and of course the description.

i also like the fact that it was shot in a moor. i've never been in a moor.

btw-what's so special about an EE100 Special? other than the fact CDR owns one. ;)

^
Nothing is special about these pieces of plastic shit. But they are absolute design classics I reckon. You call them Reporters don't you. Or Pro Packs?

Apparently the distinguishing features of this camera against the standard EE100 is it can shoot 3000ASA film at full aperture.

So there!

ah, nice tones. were you satisfied this time?
i actually prefer it with the border. otherwise (with no dark border, aka even white wood would be worse) the slight rounding of the horizon would be less remarkable. makes it even more
dreamy.
oh my

^
oh dear, i forgot to reply...

sincere apologies.

may all your horizons be round.
