well, sometimes your eyes see/understand what you could never have planned for--that's the most special thing, i think.
tulips--definitely! and take a picture...

a bit mad...seeing paintings everywhere these days, but this looks like a dutch painting to me...
the collar, the turn of her head and her pose.
(and i love tricolor coat with divisions of pipe and blocks in the background--three high in the pic! well, 2 1/2. humor me.)

Oh dear M, how I treasure your words! No offense to anyone else reading but this fine lady right here makes me giggle and/or cry with delight.
You know, when I took this I didn't know quite how to read it. I liked it at once, no question about it (Pernilla is a very warm person), but didn't really know what made it special in my eyes (that is, what made me select this particular shot in front of the few others I took during that same walk from the lunch restaurant back to her school).
Then you come along and things start falling into place. I honestly didn't see what you just pointed out - how the wall and her coat seem to coexist. Now if only I could've found a dog to put next to her feet, and a few tulips sticking out of the drain pipe, then I could've just as well marked it as shot in being Amsterdam.
I guess next time I see her I'm bringing said tulips?

Textured and wonderful

Thank you! Carrying that 600SE around is sometimes a nuisance, but then again sometimes it does good.
Sorry but I'm not in Stockholm. At the moment I'm a Hushållsnära tjänst in my hometown, since I've run out of money and can't pay rent in Örebro ; )
But I'll be back on my feet before long, though. Hoping to go to Gothenburg next fall - do you know how long you will be there for? A polameet would be nice!
