2009-09-18 // 16:40:35 g. have you checked the help link (RTFM(M)) from the top right pulldown-menu yet ? it pretty much explains a lot. be sure to click the very small links at the very bottom, as it goes on there.
i guess it all has more to do with what me know and what we are used to. plus maybe the fact we at some point (or some age ;) just say ok, it's enough now, i have a life. but, once in, it's pretty easy and you'll discover more of the threads in this network than you might expect. i had the problem the other way round - took me a while to understand flickr..
just - use firefox. works best for uploading.
would be nice to follow your shots and talking here as well.
cheers,
g.
(ps-you can disable drag'n'drop like on flickr here now in the prefs, i you want so)
2009-09-17 // 02:42:10 johnnyriggsisdead Oh yeah! That's it! I think I'm remembering! I am trying to upload a photo or ten to the site, and I can't even find where to do it! I think that may have been my problem before. You have to work really hard to find how to do the simplest things here. There really needs to be more of an ease of operation. I don't know where to go to upload my art!
2009-09-17 // 02:40:06 johnnyriggsisdead In response to someone here in my comments section. The only reason I posted one photograph was not, in fact, to publicize my flickr stream. I simply had trouble figuring out the setup here. It's a bit inscrutable. Or maybe I'm a bit slow.
It just wasn't as easy as most sites.
It's been so long now that I don't remember the particular problem, but I seem to remember attempting to put up quite a few photographs and I could only get this one to stay.
I like the look of the site, but I think the artifice is maybe getting in the way of the practicality. It's certainly associated with a lot of other websites/institutions I enjoy, so I'm back and I'm going to try again. I'm not sure what the other letter about people being able to steal photographs is all about. I know that no matter where I put my photos, if they're online, they can be lifted. I know I have no problem taking photos even from protected sites. So, it's not a problem. And I have all of the originals and can prove they're mine, so I'm not terribly worried about someone getting rich off of my work. And, I have a good lawyer! Great, in fact!
2008-12-05 // 06:21:09 KrisMorgenlicht why grab or copy !!!!!! nobody on this site.....all polaroid lovers..so i hope.....huphup i can make a copy from this pic!!!.................and than?.........i make a print on my recycled toiletten paper.......and....and.... ..
2008-12-04 // 12:35:55 RRRDIAZ hey there, nice polars. i checked out your flicker thingy. It seems that either your in the music bizz or you have a knack for being in the right place at the right time.... and with your camera.
2008-12-04 // 10:39:50 kay Uhm, I hope you are aware that photos can just as easily be lifted off of Flickr? The only difference is that they are WAY more likely to get stolen over there than on here.. (Seriously.) Anyone who's afraid of others stealing their work should not post their photos to the internets anyways.
I, personally, think it would be cool if you uploaded more of your polaroids to here. As it is, it seems you only uploaded in order to promote your Flickr stream? (?!)
2008-12-04 // 07:56:25 johnnyriggsisdead This was taken a little over a year after her husband Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of Nirvana passed away. It's too easy for anyone to just copy photos from this site, although I love anything associated with Polaroid.
See my flickr account for more.
