I think this is amazing. It reminds me of the Avedon white out portraits in America but these have much more of a nostalgic feel with the sepia and the 5x4 edges. Beautiful!

^ Thankyou. I have to admit to being heavily influenced by Richard Avedon for this project, there were a lot more pictures but they have somehow been lost. Did you know that Avedon had a team of researchers working for him, and that the man covered in bees was one of many beekeepers who sent in pictures of themselves? I'm not knocking the late Mr Avedon but it makes you think what you could do with that kind of team...Anyway, I thought it was really funny that one of the people in my series was a beekeeper...maybe I should have got him to strip and stuck a few bees on as a(n) homage...
