when i view this photo i get a real feeling for the care you took in the composition. so much more than aiming your camera at a subject and pressing the red button.

you noticed this.
you really looked at it.
you looked through the viewfinder.
you adjusted.
you thought.
you made this wonderful photo.

You read me very well, dear Ore/Jeff. The fact is that I did notice this when walking by, but I didn't photograph it at once. I went on walking, but suddenly felt a need to retrace my steps.

Now mind you, this is a very small town where everything from The Outside is looked at with much interest, but also with great suspiciousness. And me walking around with that big 600SE sure attracted attention, which isn't something I'm comfortable with. Nine times out of ten I would've just kept walking to get away from it. But this time I turned. Took my time. Took the picture. Warmed it inside my coat, attracting even more suspiciousness ("What is that boy doing, opening his coat in freezing weather?").

I'm glad all this, or fractions of it, shone through in the end. And that you caught a glimpse of it.

I thank you.

Just looking at the pola's colors, I could tell it was COLD.

It was the first time I got to use a cold clip. Almost got a partial frostbite, but somehow managed to keep my fingers intact. (The steel body of the 600SE gets so cold that it actually feels warm when you touch it, and when that happens you know that you are in trouble!).

Thank you! Have you ever been to northern Sweden?
Well ok, this isn't *that* far north, but it's still very different from the lowlands further south.
