beautiful image and beautiful story... but, why so sad?

^ I'm not as sad as this sounds. The stories are made-up, although I think they could apply to anyone at certain moments in life, including me. I wanted to make the series more personal, by writing stories about loss and goodbyes and things that are gone forever, but not actually about death. This story seemed to fit the rain-pocked face of the old statue, which must have been beautiful once. So I gave full reign to a melancholy mood. For some reason, that's always a good mood to write in.

^ It was emulsion smeared over the rollers. I left it on for a few shots, because I liked the yellow marks.

Sehr gut eingefangen und eine nachdenkliche Geschichte, die perfekt zum Bild passt. Die abgesperrten Bereiche bieten doch bestimmt noch viele Motive.
